Suncor Industry Aerodrome (Fort MacKay, AB)

Gibbings Consulting Ltd. was the airfield electrical consultant chosen by Suncor Energy to work as part of the consulting team for this green-field aerodrome development. Planning, design, and construction support was provided for the following airfield electrical scope of work:

• New Runway, Taxiway, and Apron edge lighting
• New SSALR and ODALS approach lighting systems
• Two (2) new PAPI Installations
• Illuminated Airfield Signage
• Illuminated Windsocks
• Apron Flood Lighting
• New FEC and airfield power distribution equipment and cabling
• Power and communications cabling to new Localizer, Glide Path, DME, and AWOS
